Mix cream cheese thoroughly with the 2 tablespoons of cream. Add mayonnaise, lemon juice and salt. Drain fruit cocktail well. Mix all the fruit and nuts together. Add the sugar, then stir in the cheese mixture. Fold in whipped cream and pour into a loaf pan. (Originally, the recipe was made in a metal ice-cube tray.) It takes about 3 hours to freeze. Makes 8 servings. |
